Up and at it early again, we headed to the Bauhaus Museum. The space was open plan with lots of interactive activities with a small Museum shop in the corner. The activities were designed to try and make you think outside of the box trying to draw the flavour of sweet and sour I had to try come up with innovative ways to try and communicate the flavour, it was enjoyable. We spent an hour or 2 in the museum, and when everyone was good to go, we headed off to the German science and technology museum.

This museum was huge the biggest museum i was ever in. It was just a big showcase of how amazing the germans are at engineering, and it was pretty impressive. From trains to planes to boats and everything in between. Most of the reading was in German, so we just walked around the whole place, spent about 2 hours just walking and probably didn't even see half of it, it was enormous. There were lots of old trains from the war years which were really cool. Being here I really came to the conclusion that the Germans are the powerhouse of Europe. Being Irish and so close to the UK we can sometimes think the UK is the European powerhouse, but that's not really true. The German infrastructure and engineering achievements are the greatest in my opinion in Europe this massive showcase of their engineer abilities solidified that.

Making our way back through the street to the hostel we found a few nice shops where people were up selling clothes and other items they were wacky and cool, so I picked up so stuff. We also found some cool streets covered in stickers and graffiti it was really cool to wander down these streets and just embrace ourselves in the german graffiti culture. Graffiti is huge in german cities it the german government spends 16 million euros every year taking graffiti off Berlins walls that's a huge number.

the morning of day 3, we headed off to the east side gallery we had to see the wall on a trip to Berlin. The graffiti was really cool, it had more structure to other graffiti art we say it had meaning and symbolised something. Every section had a different story it was nice to walk along by and see all the art. Around the corner was the east side mall it had some cool architecture, so we went in for a look. We then headed home to the hostel to pack as a few of us had planned to go to a tropical forest resort for the evening time. The tropical forest is built inside a nazi German blimp hanger it was a 45-minute train ride away. We arrived late at the station and missed the train it wouldn't have justified waiting another hour so just left it. I wanted to see the scale of the building more than anything, but it wasn't to be. We came back to the hostel and relaxed as it was our last night.

As we had nothing planned for the day I woke up early and headed into the city to do a small bit of shopping, I then met up with the other guys, and we headed for the airport. I was happy we were going home as the covid situation was starting to pick up in Germany and at home. I was also sad as I had such a great time in Berlin and could have stayed another week. Definitely, a city I would like to go back to again it was a great cultural experience.
